How does Burgernet work?
Burgernet is used in cases such as theft or burglary, hit-and-runs, robberies, and missing persons. Through the Burgernet app, you will receive an action message when something like this happens in your area. Have you seen anything? Then you can directly communicate with the police through the app.
AMBER Alert
With the Burgernet app, you will also receive AMBER Alerts when a missing child is in danger. You can recognize an AMBER Alert by the orange color and the title "AMBER Alert".
About the app
The app uses your smartphone's location to send you messages about actions taking place in your neighborhood, even when you are not at home. Participation is anonymous, and your data or location will not be tracked.
